This paper presents the design and application of the control strategy in the monitoring & control system of East Fuxing Road Tunnel, including redundancy control method in the system.Urban tunnel is a close travelling space.whose circumstance has great difference from the open section. The monitoring & control system in the tunnel must meet the demand of higher safety and better control strategies. Design of the most reasonable constitution of hardware and software and control strategy according to the structure and function of the tunnel has become most important in designing a tunnel monitoring & control system.East Fuxing Road Tunnel, completed in September, 2004, is the first double-tube urban cross-river tunnel in the world. It means higher difficulty to the tunnel's monitoring & control system on the other side of the innovation in its structure.Based on experience of system architecture design, software design, and system implementation, this paper mainly focus on following aspects:? Strategy of system control? Redundancy controlThis paper discusses three layers of the network with redundancy,especially, the control mode and flow of seven sub-systems.This article is a summary of the tunnel project, and may provide some helpful experience for other tunnels' construction in the future.
