The Development And Implementation Of Material Management System Based On UML

This paper discusses analysis and design process of material management system based on Unified Modeling Language(UML). Based on main design methods and ideas of UML and modern material management, regarding material management system modeling of the medium and small-scale manufacturing enterprise as the background, every stage of material management system development is studied deeply. Main work includes:Firstly, by explaining UML technology, this paper summarizes technical core and deficiency of UML and introduces the tool-Rose. Secondly, this paper explains the basic theory of material management in manufacture enterprises and the relationship of material management and modern logistics management, proposes concrete methodology. Thirdly, the paper studies the development of material management system based on UML. Lastly, the paper analyzes the application case of material management system on enterprises on the basis of UML.In the part of analysis and design of the system, following the characteristic that drives with use-case of the UML, on the basis of analyzing requirement of material management system in the medium and small-scale manufacturing enterprise, we build Use Case model. In the course of modeling we make use of Use Case diagram, Sequence diagram, Class diagram and Activity diagram to finish the static modeling and dynamic modeling, and describe development process and architecture of the system from diverse point of view in diverse phase.In the part of realizing system, the paper firstly investigates material management situation of enterprise. Regarding main problems in material management, the paper proposes the technical route of system development, designs basic function modules. Then, the paper studies the mapping method from UML to relation database, describes the mapping of C++ codes and finally introduces its reverse engineering based on UML. Because of using UML, the process of this system's development becomes more formal and faster. The practice proves the modeling technology based on UML was a good technology.
