IPM (Intelligent Power Modulation) that has been widely used in the field of frequency conversion is one of the power integrate circuit. It possesses of high integrated, high switch-speed and high-power, and since it can be controlled, protected and interfaced easily, then we call it intelligent modulation, As so far there are no company in China which can provide IPM test system, even though there are haven't established the standard to test IPM. This paper aimed at through the study of PWM signal source which can control IPM and the test system of IPM, wish to find out a feasible test method which can be efficiently used by some company which product IPM. Bring on some Chinese company can make IPM themselves.The main work and contributions of dissertation are summarized as follows:To begin with, we researched device characteristics and control theory of IPM deeply;learn some signify information of data acquire and signal conditional. Master the technology of virtual instrument and can use LabVIEW to make some programs professionally.Furthermore, research some arithmetic of PWM technology, generate SPWM signal source, which based on average- symmetry- sampling method and LabVIEW environment. This signal has three phases and six chances which can be used to control IPM. The frequency range of this signal is from 100Hz to 10KhzLast but not least, we systemic study the character of IPM, and what condition is the character of IPM can be correctly measured. Design the test of IPM that based on data acquire card. And use LabVIEW make some program which can measure the parameter of IPM through analogy the data which acquired by data acquire card.
