Industrial wireless technology is a new hot technology in the industrial control field after the field bus. It is the technology to reduce the automation cost and to enlarge the range of automation system application. It will be a new growing point of the future of industrial automation products.WIA-PA Wireless technology is a self-developed low power, highly reliable wireless sensor network technology, this technology provides a self-organizing, self-healing Smart Mesh network routing mechanism. According to the change of actual conditions and the environment, this technology can manage the joining and leaving network process of the devices, adjust the network topology and have strong stability and high reliability of the network performance.We design and implement the low layer hardware driver and WIA-PA protocol stack based on embedded ARM7 and TinyOS. This platform can meet the requirements of the strong immunity, low power, and real-time communication in WIA-PA protocol. This implementation shows the designs of the important modules and the associated interface definition. Based on showing the structure of WIA-PA protocol stack, this implementation also introduces the process of sending data and the protocol stack, task management and the process of the field device joining the network.Finally, this thesis uses the self-developed WIA-PA protocol serial debugging software and 802.15.4 protocol analyzer for the WIA-PA network functional verification. We give the whole process of network forming, and also test network performance. Comparing with the NS2 simulation results proves the correctness and good performance of the protocol stack.
