With the speedy development of the wireless technology, mobile communication hasbeen pushed into its third generation based on Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) technology, which makes the Third generation (3G) mobile network has theability of high-speed data transmission. The business arrange it can support hasadvanced to multimedia from pure data. Under the surroundings of 3G network andthe rapid development of the latest wireless communication protocols, mobileoperators can offer their wide-band services to clients whenever and wherever. Themobile streaming media service will become the killer application in the future. Basedon the high-speed data transmission network, image being able to watch TV andmovie on line, appreciate news and various entertainment programs, sports programs,or video on demand, the mobile streaming service enables end-user to access serviceslike these, and more. However, the mobile communication system characteristics ofthe narrow band, the big disturbance, the bad reliability and the serious code errormake the application of the streaming media system to wireless network facing quitebig challenge.Based on the research of wireless transport characteristics, this paper analyses severalkey technologies of the mobile streaming media system deeply. Also, through theresearch on the application of streaming media system to CDMA1X network, itproposes the optimized solution of the Quality of Service (QoS).The paper analyses the several key technologies of mobile streaming media servicesystem in particular, including mobile streaming media transmission control protocol,mobile streaming media encoding and decoding methods and mobile streaming mediaQoS control strategy. It also researches the application of the streaming media systemto CDMA1X network from the following aspect: the network system scheme, theprotocol construction, the interaction flow between the handset and streaming serverand the coding and file format. Meanwhile, it takes a series of tests, including theon-line playing test, the downloading test, the system function test and themanagement of malfunction test. From all the above research and tests, it founds thatneither sole network QoS guarantee scheme nor the adaptive transmission technologyin end system can entirely solve the problems existing in the streaming mediatransmission system in wireless environment. To the existing questions of the forwardsystem, network system and the handset system, the paper proposes solutions fromsystem aspect and protocol aspect respectively. According to the system aspect, itbrings forward the application of the Mobile Streaming Media Content DeliveryNetwork which can develop the performance of the end to end media streamingtransmission. In terms of the protocol aspect, it puts forward using the InternetResource Reservation Protocol on the mobile network which can adapt the change ofthe communication route when the clients switching between different cells andreduce the QoS influence from the movement of the clients.
