The 21st century is science and technology high speed development time. The digital image processing technology is obtained widespread application nearly in many fields. Along with the FPGA technology development, we propose the new method and the mentality for the real-time image signal processing in the algorithm, the system structure.This article has analyzed the development of real-time image processing system, FPGA technology development present situation, EDA technology characteristic, its development phase and the circuit design flow, Verilog HDL, FPGA/ CPLD characteristic, its programming technology, the structure and the development flow. We briefly introduce MAX+PLUS II software synopsis, its design procedure and (Up to Down) designs the method from the top. It has analyzed the real-time image signal processing elementary theory correlation content, namely real-time image signal basic concept, image pretreatment algorithm, center value filter basic principle and algorithm, image division algorithm, Threshold value division algorithm, Edge examination algorithm. It includes I~2C bus basic concept and data transmission each order concrete meaning as well as agreement to succession request. The Modelsim simulation realizes the I~2C bus. It provides one kind based on the FPGA real-time image signal processor realization plan. The real-time image signal processing frame includes three modules: Real-time image signal transformation module, real-time image data computation module and connection module. We mention the real-time image processing with FPGA and other chips the circuit design and FPGA procedure realization. The Modelsim simulation has tested the procedure as well as the PCB board design matters needing attention.
