| With the rapid development of various research fields in computer, electronics, communications, image processing has become an important means for recognizing and retransforming the world. Digital image processing plays an increasingly important role in remote sensing, aviation, biotechnology and medical, security and surveillance, robot vision, military and other fields. Real-time image acquisition and motion detection are important parts of digital image processing and premise of some applications, which now is got more extensive research. Flexibility and high parallelism of FPGA can provide a powerful parallel computing, and decrease the control signal delay, which is suitable for image processor of digital image processing system.Firstly, the overall design of the real-time image acquisition and motion detection system is proposed. Then, introduce the system hardware and software design. The whole hardware system includes the image acquisition module, SDRAM cache module, VGA image display module and FPGA minimum system module. Software programming design contains data transfer module, asynchronous buffer FIFO (FIFO) module, I2C-bus configuration module SDRAM image data storage module, VGA image display module and motion detection module under the help of Altera's Quartusâ…¡9.0 by Verilog language. Finally, moving target detection algorithm and implementation are discussed. The system can realize real-time image acquisition, storage and display. According to implement functions and occupation of resources, the system core image processor is Altera's Cycloneâ…¡chips Ep2C35F672C6, and the module is on board-test by Quartusâ…¡9.0 SignalTapâ…¡logic analyzer. The test results show that the basic module designs achieve the intended objectives, and the collected real-time images can be displayed on the VGA, steadily and continuously. |
