Quality of Service (QoS) is the outcome of both Internet application requirement and technology development. The key technologies of QoS are categorized into two types. One is the direct implementation framework, such as IntServ and DiffServ. The other is the Trafic Engineering (TE), an indirect approach. MPLS is extraordinary important to implement TE. All those measures emphasize on characteristics respectively. DiffServ classifies trafic in coarse granularity, and meters and marks the traffic in the edge router. MPLS provides fast packet switching and performs traffic engineering to preempt resources, evenly distribute traffic load on available links and rerouting around node and link failures, thus it can optimize network performance.This paper firstly describes the development of QoS and its basic concept, and then researches IntServ, DiffServ, MPLS, then proposes the campus network based on MPLS. Having studied the discrimination between Diff-serv and MPLS, we propose a model to realizeQoS.Through network simulation software OPNET to simulate this model, we have carried on the quota analysis and the appraisal to the model.Finally having carried on the summary to the paper, simultaneously we propose some conceives and the forecast to the future work.Wang Ya Ping(Control Theory and Control Engineering)Supervised by Shi JinHua...
