In resent years, with the rapid develepmet of Internet, the requirement of users for real time applications such as Video-on-Demand (VOD), IP telephone becoming increasingly greater. This requires the existing network to provide good Quality of Service(QoS) guarantees. However, current IP network can only provide "Best Effort" service and can't satisfy different network traffic quality requirements of multimedia application. Therefor, how to provide scalable QoS guarantees for users has become one of the research hotspots in the network industry.Firstly, several commonly used QoS models are introduced and their basic principle are analyzed and compared with each other. Meanwhile, the characteristics and shortcomings of each model are pointed out. It is found by analysis of the obove models that it is difficult to provide a good end to end QoS guarantees in practical applications when only using a single model. In order to seek for solutions, IntServ, DiffServ and MPLS are combaied each other in the pratical network and they mutually cooperate. Then an improved end to end QoS mixed model and the corresponding implement method are present in this paper. The proposed model not only retains the advantage of a single model and provides reliable end to end QoS guarantees to users, but also has a good expandability and robustness.Secondly, after mainly discussing the implementation mechanism of core network, this paper analyzes the features of existing queue management algorithms and queue schedule algorithms. Then aiming at the shortcomings of the above algorithms, an improved queue management algorithm and queue schedule algorithm are presented respectively. Meanwhile, the implementation process of the two improved algorithms is introduced in details. Finally, the simulating analysis about the two improved algorithms are are performed using MATLAB simulation experiment platform. Experiments results shows that the improved algorithms can better implement differentiated services and the properties such as packet loss ratio, throughput, delay characteristic get obvious improvement.
