The Design Of Embedded Data Acquisitions And Control Hardware Platform Based On ARM9

With the rapid development of the technologies of micro-electronics, computer and network, in modern time data acquisition and control system has been embedded mode instead of the traditional mode and industrial personal computer. The embedded system plays an important and exclusive role in the industrial data acquisition and control system.This paper designs the new data acquisition and control system in order to make it more powerful in data processing and more predominant in communication mode, which utilizes AT91RM9200 of 32 bits based on an ARM9 Processor Core, and Linux of embedded real-time kernel.This paper designs the circuit of 8-channel analog acquisition based on SPI serial communication, the circuit of 2-channel analog output based on EBI parallel communication, and the circuit of 8-channel switching quantities input and output. The modules of A/D, D/A, switching quantity, Ethernet and so on constitute a communication platform. After the preliminary study on Linux, successfully boots the system by transplanting the U-boot original code, and downloads kernel and file system into Flash. Besides the paper designs the A/D channel software module by operating SPI registers, D/A channel software module by operating EBI registers, RS-232 software module by operating USART registers, and develops Ethernet communication module through Socket, also designs USB software module by driving UHP.In a word, this paper realizes several functions as follows: 8-channel analog quantity acquisition, 2-channel digital quantities output, 8-channel switching quantities input and output, RS-232 communication, Ethernet data transmission with the embedded platform as server, the U-disk's data transmission on the platform without PC.The designed data acquisition and control platform can be applied to all kinds of industrial field. Some research means and result are advanced and useful on this system, which has a very bright future.
