In recent years, along with embedded system, network as well as picture processing rapid development, embedded network communication system and the video unified to become a development hot spot. It may fully use the existing network resources, conveniently turns on in the 10M/100M ethernet,thus partially substitutes for the CAN main line, RS-232 or the RS-485main line network way which the early time uses. At present, ethernet cover scope more and more range, ethernet user more and more frequently, the network video by its direct-viewing, is convenient, the information content rich characteristic widely applies to the many kinds of situations.The choice of transplants in the ARM processor embedded operating system is the network video one kind of model solution.This thesis studied and has designed one kind network vedio terminate with embedded Linux based on the AT91RM9200 chip , including system hardware board design, U-Boot compile and transplant, Linux operating system software development and so on transplant. This system may satisfy the user the need which reads to the remote device control and the simple information takes.The paper first introduced the system hardware system design. The hardwaresystem mainly is composed by two parts, most important partial is AT91RM9200 and its memory part, including the essential auxiliary circuit. Memory part contain 64MB SDRAM > 8MB Flash and 2MB Dataflash. SDRAM took the operating system essence and the application procedure movement space,Flash serves as the memory vectoring procedure (BootRom), Linux documents and so on operating system image and application procedure. The other parts are the periphery interface electric circuits, including serial ports electric circuit, MCI circuit, USB interface circuit, ethernet data exchange circuit, JTAG circuit, audio interface circuit ,vedio interface circuit and so on..The paper has also studied the AT91RM9200 boot process and the Linux kernel, transplanted U-Boot and the Linux operating system, built the Qt/Embedded crossing development platform, transplanted Mplayer.
