The Hardware Design And Implementation Of MPEG-2 Video System

With the development of integrated circuit, FPGA and ASIC have been widely used in many fields such as telecommunication .image processing, vedio compression and so on. FPGA is developing in large-content and high-speed with improvement in logic-density, capability and function. Now, the increase of complication in structure and fast-breaking of SOC design method make some arithmetic easy to realization in hardware. The survey of vidio compressed coding is introduced in this paper at first. Then the vidio compressed method based on transform coding and the content of MPEG-2 standard are presented. The hardware realization method of MPEG-2 vidio compressed decoder is given in detail. At last, aim at the vidio transmission problem in uncertainty network, a scheme of channel error correction coding/decoding based on MPEG-2 vidiotransmission and its FPGA hardware realization are proposed.
