With quick development of the information technology, the management of army is facing the important challenge. Combat readiness management is a very important part of army manangment which is compsed of military affairs, politics, logistics, equipments and combat readiness. If all the broad and complex information is managed with Combat readiness information management system which is based on network technology, the efficiency of military management will be raised a lot.The paper introduces the whole process of developing a combat readiness management system which based on some network technologies such as J2EE. First, the condition of current combat readiness management is briefly introduced in this paper. Secondly, we studied some network technologies including J2EE, XML, Servlet and so on. We mainly appraise the JSP technology. This paper presents the exploration process of the Combat-readiness system from the aspects of System Requirments Analysis, DataBase Design and the design & realization of 3-tier System. Finally, the paper describes the method how to implement the whole system in detail. This Combat-readiness Management System adopts mult-tier architecture. The paper describes the realization of client-tier, business logic tier and database accessment tier. The client-tier is developed by JSP. The business logic tier is realized by JSP, Servlet and JavaBean. The database accessment tier is accomplished by JDBC and JavaBean. Functions of the system are mainly located in the business logic tier. Automatic management of combat readiness information will be achieved by using this system.
