Integrated Application Research Based On LDAP & Web On The Bank Business Training System

With the rapid development of economy in China, there are many businessservices that are coming forth to satisfy the customers' needs. At thesame time, the workflow and management of banking transaction become moreand more complicated. In order to help the clerk to master the newknowledge in a short time, quickly resolve the encountering problems andbrowse the bylaw of bank, we developed the application of a web-basedtraining system about the banking transaction.Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) service, originated outof the X.500 series of International Telecommunication Union (ITU)recommendations, is a new technology applying to Internet. Now LDAP isthe standard for directory information access and is the underlyingprotocol for a variety of email systems, Web systems, and enterpriseapplications. LDAP service has many great features, such as providingquick and advanced search, quick response and hierarchy view of data. Atpresent, most of user information in bank is stored in a relationaldatabase management system (RDBMS).So it brings the difficulty on datasynchronization among different application subsystems and wastes muchstorage space. By using LDAP service, we can enable central managementof user information and certification authority, reduce the maintenancework of administration and improve the efficiency of our network security.In addition, combining with the central management of users, the securityof our system is greatly improved.This application elaborates the development advantage andcharacteristic of technology which integrates and fuses LDAP, Servlet,JSP, JDBC etc. We put forward a design and realization scheme that clerkinformation of bank can be stored in both relational database and LDAP,apply JNDI and PL/SQL to complete data synchronization and achieve theprivilege management on group mode. And we provide the function ofmanaging a LDAP directory by web browser.Along with the booming need of using network, the technology of LDAPand WEB will prompt the system security and availability. This model isworth vigorously spreading on the information management of bank system.
