The hardware in conventional system simulation model is replaced by the mathematics model, so it can not achieve anticipative effect. The real-time system simulation based on MATLAB/RTW which have the function of connecting hardware,it make the whole research process closed to the collateral process. The cycle of the research process should be shorten, and it have the better economic value. So the real-time system simulation theory and technology is the emphases research problem in domain of system simulation. Based on the deep study and research of the real-time system simulation, real-time workshop is introduced in this paper. Aimed at customizing own real-time system, a common system exploitation process is proposed with S-function encapsulation. Based on Canada's Quanser real-time simulation plant,3-DOF helicopter module, it build the mathematics model with 3-DOF helicopter module, design a rapid control prototyping controller with PID and LQR control strategy. a complete system design and realization is conducted. It make the C code with software wincon, build the executive code and download to the object system, and the result is good. The methods, which contain the hardware-in-the-loop application and rapid control prototyping, are used in this system. The feasibility of the theory is confirmed by experimental results. It has much more superiority compared with the traditional simulation system. Grounded on the work above, a design is developed, which includes asynchronous motor as the control object, vector control as the control strategy, hardware-in-the-loop application and rapid control prototyping is used. It design the system frame, write the hardware code, build the individuation drive module with S-function encapsulation, make the closed loop test system with transducer-asynchronous motor-sensor. It has research value for the exploitation of asynchronous motor drive system.
