The Implementation Of RFSS Real Time Control Based On Real-Time Extension

Because Windows2000 operating system has familiar graphical user interface, excellent multitask ability and hardware compatibility, more and more Radio Frequency Simulation Systems (RFSS) take Windows2000 as their developing and running platform. But as it is not designed for real-time application, Windows2000 can not meet the need of real-time application. Currently, most of the solutions are based on the method of adding hardware to the PC. But this method has bad versatility, needs the developer to make the hardware by concrete project. So it has theory and utility value that how to implement the real-time control system of Radio Frequency Simulation System (RFSS) by not adding hardware.This paper first introduces the need of RFSS at real-time, analyzes the problems existing in the application of Windows2000 for a real-time control system, and studies the domestic and oversea methods of solving this problem. Then it considers to develop the real-time control system of RFSS based on real-time extension.Subsequently this paper analyses Windows2000 Interrupt Dispatch and Schedule mechanism, and studies the method that using software to extend the Windows aiming at its limitation at real-time.In the end, it describes the design of the microwave feeding systems of RFSS, the application of a kind of software model based on MFC(microsoft foundation classes)and RTX in the design of RFSS. The results of the experiments prove that this model based on real-time extension can solve the problem of Windows2000 using as platform for RFSS.
