There is a popular phenomenon in viewing of the variety-shows and entertainment programs on the mainland of China that there are always a lot of people watching the program but a few enjoy. We just name this phenomenon pseudo-viewing and this paper will research it. From producing the program to viewing it, the paper will discuss step by step. First, in the creating step, there is grievous pan-entertainment tendency in the whole culture life of the society, which has led the variety-shows and entertainment programs to focus on the entertainment only. They take the yellows as keystone, lack meaning, and can not provide the audience aesthetics enjoyment. Secondly, on the programs, there is serious unbalance between the programs' quantity and variety. The ubiquitous homogeneity in the current variety-shows and entertainment programs makes the audience could not really enjoy their rights to choose their fond programs. As the variety-shows and entertainment programs, this problem is extremely serious. Thirdly, about the viewing, there are a lot of disadvantageous factors which are ritualistic viewing, conformity psychology, utilitarian psychology and peeking psychology. All of these make the pseudo-viewing happening. although there are lot of factors led the pseudo-viewing, the human factors should be reduces to the lowest level. For this, we should set correct concept to the rating ,and consummate the system of program judging, while enhancing the quality of the programs and constructing active and healthy atmosphere is the most important.
