Studies On The China-related Reports In The Mainstream-Papers Of America In Recent Years

There are some tendentiousness in the China-related reports in the mainstream-papers of America in recent years. The tendentiousness was showed in politics, economy, military affairs and social affairs. Based on the classification of the existing related research and the first-hand material, combining quantitative analysis with qualitative analysis, the article explores the China-related reports in the mainstream-papers of America in recent years. First, the article analyzes these reports in respect of quantity, category and amplitude of fluctuation, and analyzes Taiwan issue in routine subject. Finally the article analyzes tendentiousness of important event in aspect of politics, economy, military and social affairs. As to the reason of tendentiousness of the China-related reports in the mainstream-papers of America, the article analyzes in respect of ideology, interest and culture. In view of this, the article points out weaknesses and deficiency existing in internal government and media.
