Based on advanced software framework, using Web data transport procotols and standard data forms to coordinate numerous equipments and websites, Web Service offers more simple, effective and individualized services. Web Service technology is based on the theory of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), it includes three core components: transport, description and discovery. Web Service Architecture defines formats and protocols which clients and servers use to communicate by SOAP, it realizes the description which describes what functions the Web Service offers and how to communicate with the service by WSDL and it realizes the discovery by UDDI. Nowadays, the software system based on Web Service is becoming a new system integration way. However, Web Service technology is still a new developing technology, the time efficiency of the application system structured on the basis of Web Service is becoming more and more prominent. On the basis of further research of Web Service frame and standards, analysis of the model of application system based on Web Service and analysis of the system dataflow chart, four time bottlenecks were ascertained:frequent interaction between service and clients, big SOAP Datagrams, low efficiency in creating Web service proxy at the clients, low efficiency in accessing the dataBase. Six methods were proposed to improve the system time efficiency: reducing web Round-Trip, compressing SOAP Datagram, static Web Service binding, creating Web Service proxy in the client in advance, using Pooling technology , and improving the efficiency of dataBase. Making use of the strategy mentioned above, a system which requires high time efficiency was founded: the Command & Attemper System in Fire Protection for Macao.
