For a long time, the Bioinformatics technology is considered to be one of most potential methods to study this Biologic system. But the interdisciplinary characteristic of Bioinformatics technology, such as complicated mathematics counting,logic analysis, visual data,Often makes biologists hang back. Although there are many programs about analysis, they are all very unilateral. So, there is a need to develop a system for calculating and simulating bio data, which fit for biologists. The aim of BioLAB system is to fit for this need, which can be used for integrate information, calculation and simulation. In this thesis we will introduce how the architecture of BioLAB System was developed and the techniques had bean used in the development process. BioLAB system is based on three tiers architecture and used techniques of workflow and web portal. All of this are used for offering facilitates of extensibility and reusability. BioLAB system is designed basing on the needs of biologists in all levels for computer assistance. In the developing process, it used techniques including EJB, Portal, Swing and RMI etc. It facilitates the geologist and bioinformatics software designer with good interoperability, extensibility and reusability.
