The number of websites has rapidly increased and continues to increase with the development of Internet, while information is digitizing, prevailing and globalizing. It has become a subject of growing concern how people use the information on the Internet accurately. For bioinformatics researchers, if the database of both international and domestic can be fully used, and a database of their own research departments can be built, it will effectively promote their research work. Furthermore, there is an increasing number of bioinformatics software, which are used to analyze and mine relevant knowledge from the Biological data, with the completion of the Human Genome Project. If they can be fully shared, it will effectively promote the research work of bioinformatics researchers. Therefore, publishing bioinformatics software to provide shared services on Web is more and more important.When building a literature database, the literature indexing information requires manual input, and the efficiency is low when upload documents. So, the PDF literature indexing information automatic extraction (PLIAE) tool was developed by analyzing and summarizing the various features of the PDF literature indexing information. And the tool is fully tested. The test results show that the tool can automatically upload a single literature or bulk ones. The tool is an efficient solution to the problem of material collection of Bioinformatics Literature Database.By analyzing the characteristics of a meta-search engine and applying meta-search engine technology to the field of literature search, a literature meta-search engine was achieved, which has three core modules: interface, scheduling and display. It is based on many well-known academic literature search engines and databases. The experiments show that it can overcome such problems existing in the single database, such as: limited number of documents, narrow coverage, low effective retrieval rate, etc. It was based on the exploration of data inquiries of many biological information databases. It has built the foundation for the further integration of distributed and heterogeneous databases of Bioinformatics.When releasing bioinformatics software, it requires a lot of repetitive work, such as re-designing and producing webpage. So, a bioinformatics software web auto-released system (BSWAR) that based on Browser/Server mode, Template Technology and the related technologies of Java is designed and implemented. It can be used to publish software to Internet expediently, and provide many services of software, such as online calculation, real-time downloading. This eliminated the troubles of repeated designing, producing website and manual releasing, and increased the efficiency. The system is used to solve the problem of publishing and sharing of the bioinformatics software.
