Research And Development On Special CAD System For Series Products Based On Universal CAD

The thesis researches into the technologies of developing special-purpose CAD for series product based on the universal CAD platform, mainly including the secondary development technology, complicated knowledge base organizing technology and automatically drafting technology orienting to drawings of series products. Through the research CAD system for special fields would be improved obviously. The series products have already spread to all over various trades, especially very popular in machinery industry. It is an important approach to design products in series and develop special-purpose CAD for series products based on universal CAD system. The special CAD should possess most functions of universal CAD, have a knowledge base of complete professional knowledge, and automatically draft engineering drawings of the series products. This thesis is mainly investigated into three technologies: universal CAD secondary development technology, automatic drafting technology of parameter and designing flow organizing technology of the knowledge base. Based on the methodology mentioned above, under the support of Hi-Tech Research and Development Program of China, a special-purpose CAD system for air conditioner pipeline based on universal CAD has been developed, and the system is integrated with KMCAD2003 system. With the system, an air-condition pipeline part design scheme can be attainted more effectively.
