Application Research Of Quality-controlled Subject Information Gateway In The Digital Library

In this way, society announce to revealing and exploitation of network information resources placing in front of the library. As a kind of bran-new information organization and service mode of digital librarypractice——Quality-controlled Subject Information Gateway(QSIG), it combined tomost successful network information service mode of IT field——gateway and thestrongpoint on information arrangement of information field fully, as well as solved the contradiction that the present digital library practices. QSIG become an important embodiment that the digital library practised. The digital library itself is the important resource node in the network, and it is the important gateway where users utilized the information resources of the network. Therefore, it is necessary for us to build QSIG to bring into the construction of digital library, make it become an important aspect of construction of digital library, enrich the theory and practice of the digital library further.On the basis of analyzing the current situation of QSIG study and meaning in the digital library exploitation, this paper described QSIG and relevant concepts systematically, and carried on the analysis and research the information resources choosing norm, searching tactics, evaluation criterion, type vocabulary, organizing system, cataloging norm, management norm, etc. of the quality-controlled system of QSIG, offered the theoretical foundation for practice of QSIG. Subsequently, it carried on the analysis and research involved to subject range and service range, subject categorised system, information resources development policies, technological project, metadata frame, interoperability, management, additional service, commercial mode,etc. several important aspects of the practical application of QSIG, provided some on the concrete suggestion while using.The author combined the quality-controlled system of QSIG and applicationrequirement in the digital library, fully absorbed the new theory and advanced technology of information service, incorporated the building idea of the digital library, analysed the design and realization of QSIG managementsoftware------QSIGsystem.The article analysed methods of designing, database design,function and realization of every module of QSIGsystem, in detail, and focused on QSIGsystem application practice in the individual subject information gateway and gateway system of digital library to study, offered direct practical experience and mode that can be used for reference from QSIG for application in the digital library. The last, the thesis compared the function pattern and characteristic of open directory project (ODP) and QSIG, proposed that QSIG based on open directory project is a development trend of QSIG, and put forward the concrete solution about several key aspects of structuring QSIG based on open directory project.
