The Development Of Children's Book Publishing In China

Children's book publishing plays an important role in the book publishing industry. With the government adjusting the policy of textbook publishing, the competition of the general children's books will be fiercer. Many children's book publishing houses in specialty, which exist on textbook publishing, have to regulate the configuration of books and re-orient. On this background, it is of great necessity to research the present status, problems and continuance development approach in children's book publishing. This dissertation is divided into five parts.The introduction of the dissertation interprets children's book's meaning, characteristic and classification, and expounds the significance of children's book publishing.The first part overviews the history of the development of children's book publishing.The second part describes the present status of children's book publishing in China, including publishing status, distribution status, copyright trade status and competition status.The third part sets some problems arising in the development of children's book publishing and analyses the reasons.The forth part offers some advice for the development of children's book publishing in China.
