With the development of industry technology, the products of excitation regulator has pulled out continually. While, as for the test experiment of excitation regulator, that the parameter and the dynamic experiment of system has been almost regulated on the real machine after the static test and virtual— dynamic test has finished in the factory. Though the real-time of the method is excellent, it will be used a large amount of money , manpower and resources. The paper has introduced an intelligent test device of excitation regulator which is based on double DSP parallel processing technology and digital real-time simulation technology. The device has excellent function in the real-time property of measurement, precision and so on. It has full function and is easy to use. So it provides a good environment for test experiment of excitation regulator.In the first chapter, the development situation on the research of testing excitation regulator and digital real-time simulation are introduced. In the second chapter, how to develop the mathematics model of synchronous machine, prime motor, equivalent load circuit and excitation system in the dqO system are introduced. In the third chapter, the unveiled trapezoid algorithm for the simulation model has been worked out. In the fourth chapter, the hardware design based on double DSP parallel processing structure has been presented. The solution which how to process the hardware interface of double DSP, how to use double RAM, how to connect excitation regulator with DSP and how to make DSP communication with PC, has been introduced. In the fifth chapter, the design process of software of the system has been talked about in detail. In the sixth chapter, some experiment and results are discussed. In the last chapter, the conclusion is summarized and the perspective is described.
