In our daily life, production and scientific research the people often need to test and collect the information of the designated target, and data acquisition system is the equipment which can satisfy the requirement. With rapid development of computer, electronic packaging and new materials, the research and design of data acquisition have continuously improved. Acquisition speed, precision and the number of channel have become more and more advance. But on the market the cost of some data acquisition is very high, and acquisition speed does not meet the requirement of high-speed acquisition. So, the purpose of this topics is to research a high-performance, low-cost, intelligent and portable multi-point data acquisition.This article firstly compares the common data acquisition instrument on the market, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of data acquisition, and then takes the liquid metal's temperature, pressure and flow field in LFC as the acquisition target, setting the parameter of the data acquisition. At last introduction the hardware and software design of the data acquisition system. Balance between performance, cost and versatility, this subject has used C8051F350 as core device which is a high-performance MCU has 24-bit resolution A/D converter. Taking into account the expansion performance of the data acquisition, set the overall structure as separation of the control panel and the collection plate. Aiming at different demand of acquisition target, we can use more collection plates to add more acquisition channels.Besides, usually PCI and PXI bus are designed in acquisition instrument, although acquisition speed is very fast, there are shortcomings of poor portability and high cost. The data acquisition in this paper has used USB bus as data transmission bus. The C8051F320 produced by Silicon Laboratories has USB controller, no need to expand USB adapter chip, and have general with C8051F350 of collection plate. It can fully meet the demand of communication tasks between the control panel and PC.Experiments showed that the data acquisition instrument in this paper has advantages of high-speed, high-precision, and good portability and versatility.
