Design And Implementation Of A Budget System Based On B/S Structure

Budget Management is the most important and effective internal control system for an enterprise. It plays a very important role for scheduled development, the actions coordination, and leading development direction. With modern business expansion, the infrastructure and product become even more complicated. Tradition budget format is criticized from various aspects. As result much more domestics as well as overseas competitors take the share in this market which had driven the competition into high level. Enterprise had hence made an increasing demand on effectiveness and precision for budget system.This article based on my company's business stipulating the background and bearing for the budget management system research. It analyzes the different infrastructure between C/S & B/S, introduces concept of levels of user operation screen, logical application and the database. It also describes the user login security design, use of OWC activeX, function of opening balance input, report output and introduce the design and implementation of a budget management system based on B/S infrastructure which complies to the company's character at the same time.The topic is focus on below main points:(1) It analyzes the requirements from Enterprise for budget management. After examining current product on the market such as SAP R/3, Oracle EPB and ERP U8 and considering the advantage and shortcoming of each, we put forward budget management system based on B/S which better fits our company's character. User operation platform is based on WWW browser and main logical test and data process are done by the server running behind. ASP.Net is selected as programming language while SQL server database is adopted as background.(2) It designs the solution for comprehensive budget management system including selection between C/S & B/S for system development interface, design of user login mode, hardware and software adopted for system design, version control for system design, logical module for system design and the target of preciseness, stability, security, haleness, user friendly screen and extendibility.(3) It completes and design for budget management system including implementation of user operation platform layer, implementation of logical application layer, the implementation of database layer and the introduction of key technique such as user login design and security authorization, use of OWC activeX, Opening balance import, budget data output, exceptional handling etc.Final the thesis introduces the testing result of the budget management system in detail including testing environment, version number and cutoff date, the control of headcount, fixed assets, facilities, control of overhead, webpage display, export to excel etc. The testing result proved that the system accorded with the design requirements, can meet the business needs.This work has the advantage as simple, accurate, promotional and strong, which can support the management team for the data analyze and decision make. It can improve the data quality and reduce the budget period cycle time. Also this work has the value to promote the enterprise information system build-up.
