With the implementing of the college expansion plan, problems of college dormitory management have arisen accordingly, which become a weak dimension of campus digital construction. Directing against the problems of college dormitory rear service management, the embedded barrier-free passage system is designed and developed. The system will make real time records of students'entering and leaving their dormitory, and will give warnings and photograph automatically when there are forcible break-ins. Combined with the teniques of video monitoring and photographing, the system supplies playback function and the function of filing for future reference. According to the records, the administrative staff including university leaders, political intructors and dormitory attendents and other staff members in charge of students'affairs can check students'residence, dormitory sanitation, discipline, equipment maintaining, and the kind. Consequently, the digital construction of college rear service management can be achieved. There are variable high-priced access control systems on the current market, which are not actually suitable for the management of college dormitory. The system introduced in this thesis adopts the plan using embedded barrier-free passage with multiple recognition. With the combination of software and hardware, and with fully developed security techniques on the current market, the system will help a lot to achieve the college dormitory security management effectively.Under the mode of combining the managing software operator interface with the development of integrated single chip microcomputer, this sytem consists of infrared detection, RFID technique, video monitoring, warning outputing, video outputing and so on.It can achieve humanized access control and intelligent management. Based on the logical design of infrared dectection, it ensures the passage system to record each pass accruratly. Based on a complete analysis of the system's functional requirements, substantive investigations, and planning, the design of this system can be applied in most colleges for rear service security use. As developing digital rear service management may cause financial difficulties to colleges, to lower costs and to raise effects, the system adopts full developed security techniques, and still uses creative designs on core circuit, achieving perfect intergration of multiple techniques and the effect of recognition as well. Therefore, it has low cost but huge undiscovered market. From the angle of product security, this system remedies the defects of access security control system on the current market, and thus serves to enrich the current class. The barrier-free passage of quick identity recognition possesses the characteristic of humanized design, which applies effectively to the recognition of students'entering and leaving their dormitory. With advanced techniques, the system uses a mode of both great security and convenience to manage. And with the development of computer and communication technology, the product performance will be improved day by day, and the design and development of the system will be more and more humanized and performance-enhanced as the system function requires. During the period of subsequent development, the system will use renewed control chips and more scientifically desiged circuitry, and thus it will be applied in more fields. As for the management and design of software, the system introduces specified function modules. Consequently, operators can choose the function they need to operate at will, and thus the fields the system can be applied to will be enlarged greatly.Based on the background of the research, this thesis anylizes the functional requirements of the product, compares various currently existing access control systems, and introduces the imbedded barrier-free passage system with multiple recognition that is suitable for the management of college dormitory access. In the following chapters the author will give a detailed explanation of how the system is applied with infrared detecting technique, RFID technique, and video monitoring technique, and will elaborate how the design and performance of hardware and those of software work together to achieve the desired function of the system. Hardware designs here include the design of computer mainboard circuitry, the choosing of electronic components and the establishing of hardware communication protocol; software designs, on the other hand, contain the design and performance of the anylized function modules.
