The Research And Development Of Student Dormitories Management System

Student dormitory is an important place for student to live and study everyday. Security management of student dormitories bears on security of student's life and property. Security situation of Student dormitories, which relates to the normal living and teaching order of a school as well as collegial and social stability, has been caused wide public concern. Safe and high-efficient management doesn't only need excellent management team and perfect management regulations but also a good excellent management system which can get twice the result with half the effort.Considering fully the specific requirement of student dormitories management, the paper proposes a construction Scheme of student dormitories management system based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) incorporated with multimedia video monitor technology.Through the analysis on the requirement for student dormitories management system, the access controller and card-issuing center are developed by the method of Open Database Connectivity (OBDC) accessing SQL server database management system, based on Client/Server (C/S) and Browser/Server (B/S) architecture and the development platform of Visual Basic 6.0 under the environment of widows2000 server. The design of dynamic WEB management system is realized by the use of ASP dynamic Web page technologies of IIS6.0 under Windows2003 and ActiveX technology. The design for integration of the system software is finally finished. Besides, the method of video transmission with microwave is presented to solve some problem in project construction in this paper.The system presented in the paper can effectively solve the diversified problem in Student dormitories management, and implement the safety, real-time and high-efficiency of Student dormitories management. Because of adopting open interface technology, the system can be extended according to different requirement. It has a better application prospect and promotion value.
