With the design companies continuously deepening the reforms of management pattern of three-dimensional mechanical drawings, the traditional stand-alone management of three-dimensional mechanical drawings can’t fit the objective needs of joint designing. Thus, how to integrate the three-dimensional mechanical drawings of the machine building enterprises for providing concerned technicians with a sharing mechanism of three-dimensional mechanical drawings has become the key to shorten the design cycle. Although most design companies have developed a sharing platform for three-dimensional mechanical drawings based on online learning, which has brought satisfying results, in practice, the traditional sharing method can’t satisfy the needs of using resources of multiple disciplines. Therefore, how to solve the resource integration problem during sharing has become a hot topic among experts and professional home and abroad. In response to this issue, this paper proposes a solution of three-dimensional mechanical drawing depot which is based on the web.At the beginning of this paper, the background and significance of building a three-dimensional mechanical drawing depot is analyzed. Meantime, the paper makes an explanation to the status quo. Then, the tools and instruments which are necessary for developing the system are introduced. After that, the requirement analysis is conducted for making the system design and realization. At last, a system test is complemented. With the system mentioned above, the resources of three-dimensional mechanical drawings can be shared and managed in a unified way. With the knowledge management principle, unified management of the three-dimensional mechanical drawings can be realized, thus feasibly correcting the defects of traditional ways for sharing resources. Not only can the system provide the technicians with an online platform for learning and communicating with each other, but it is a good platform for teachers to learn and communicate with each other for carrying on the exchange of the needed.With the application of this system, the management effects of three-dimensional mechanical drawings of designing companies can be enhanced in a real sense, thus elevating the overall levels of resource sharing and promoting the design pattern reforms and the online learning of technicians. Finally, the system discussed in this paper has reference function and values, when other designing companies try to construct a managing platform of a three-dimensional mechanical drawing depot.
