Data Encryption Research Of Broadband Integrated Data Optical Synchronous Network

Wideband Integrated Digital Optical Synchronous Network is a new access network of integrated data, it enables different business, different data structures, different transmission data rates, different signaling data link that can be transmitted in a network, and it is using the optical fiber as the transmission medium. Moreover, the bandwidth of this network is dynamically aligned according to the flows of data, which guaranteed the rationality and highly effective of the data bandwidth. There are threats to Wideband Integrated Digital Optical Synchronous Network security due to its data transmission way (broadcasting) in the downstream direction, so encrypting the data in the downstream direction is need for security.The thesis mainly research on encrypting in the downstream direction of Wideband Integrated Digital Optical Synchronous Network. Transmission system of Wideband Integrated Digital Optical Synchronous Network is introduced, and the security needs of it is analyzed, then an encryption project is designed. Data in the downstream direction is encrypted in centralizer and decrypted in nodes. AES algorithm is chosen and described in detail. Updating and synchronization of key is designed in the encrypting project, which enhance the safety of encryption. Before the AES algorithm is implemented by FPGA. for raising speed of encryption and decryption, and reducing the area of chip, simplifying the round operation and encryption key expand operation before designing is necessary, and structure is optimized by using the mixed pipeline structure of inside and outside,then the design of each function module has completed.The encryption module and decryption module are designed by using Verilog language on the Quartus II development platform, and simulated in function and timing by Modelsim, Simulated data validate the correctness of designing, a summary of the encryption project is made at last.
