The importance of water is self evident. Water plays a vital role not only in national product but also in people's daily lives. With China's rapid economic development and people's living standards improving, people increased the demand and improved quality standards for water. In short period of time, the water quantity of enterprises and residents using will continue to grow, but in the current domestic water supply companies and water plant, especially in small towns water plant, the production process is relatively simple and relatively backward equipment, which is difficult to ensure that water production and water supply and affect the region production and life.By related information retrieved and searched, and small towns water supply enterprises researched, enhancing water supply systems in the level of automation and information technology has become urgent problem. The topic of this paper comes from a town centralized water supply projects in western of Inner Mongolia. The fact of project is geographically dispersed in water wells, the further distance of pipeline form wells to water plants, and the more uneven distribution of monitoring points of pipe network. If the actuator and various measuring instruments are connected by cables, the costs of investment and construction will be high, and difficult to maintain the cable in the late. The electric signal strength of long distance transmission will lead to attenuation, which causes measurement error. The subject adopts a mode of wireless communication to control wells and monitor the pipe network by the remote. Requirements of remote control system of wells is high real time, but the real time of network parameters monitoring are relatively low and measuring points of the pipeline network are scattered. Comparing advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of wireless communication, the subject research and design a remote control system of combining data transceiver with GPRS on water plants. Remote control system for wells uses data transceiver to transmit data and connect communication, and pipe network monitoring system adopts GPRS communications. The parameter of water supply network monitored is only a means, the aim is to pinpoint the leak point of the network through calculation and analysis, and the subject uses two parameter of pressure and flow of pipeline to comprehensive analysis.In the remote control system of water plants, the communication of combination data transceiver with the GPRS is rarely used now, but both can complement each other, which improve the efficiency of production of water supply enterprises. The system cost of investment and construction is lower than other, so the system has a higher use value in small towns'water plants. If the system is slightly modified, it will be widely used in small towns'water plants. The method of using pressure and flow positioning a pipe leakage point can reduce the transfer and impact of regulating pumps and switching valves and improve the positioning accuracy.
