By the injection of the distributed control system such as signaling, route, restore, etc, Automatically Switched Optical Network generate a certain change in the networking, management, controlling of the software architecture for the traditional transport network. As it brings lots of advantages and benefit for the telecom operators in their operation, the complexity and unpredicty of the net also occur. In programming and optimizing such kind of network, the use of the original manual mode that relates to the traditional SDH network seems obviously unadaptable. Therefore, an auto-programming and optimizing appliance should be used for the task of the ASON based network programming and optimizing. To that mentioned hereabove, the thesis first begins with the demonstration, reasoning, and comparision of the advantages and disadvantages between the similar conceptions for network programming and optimization software, analyzes the challenges that the intelligent optical network bring to the traditional method for network programming. Then a complete and systermatical analysis from the angel of the demand analysis of users'functional requirements and the non-functional requirements follows. In the phase of software programming, the system is devided into several function blocks according to their function. Ideas of programming for each module are narrated respectedly with the module partition graph. In the final part, the thesis uses four tipical modules to describe the details in software realization. With good user experience, simple and convenient operation, programming algorithm and simulation algorithm with powerful function, this software greatly bettered the quality and efficiency of users'intelligent optical network.
