Design Of Local Telecommunications Network Based On ASON Technology

With the rapid development of IP data services, the ultimate goal of the development and evolution of loacl transmission network is to build a large-capacity, multi-service,scalable and open platform for highly reliable local transport. To solve the problems that exist in traditional optical network, Automatic Switched Optical Network (ASON) which introduce a control plane emerged. IP-core automatic technology will be used in the optical layer to build intelligent optical network and finally to Provides network operators with a flexible and effective operation of optical network. ASON has been progressively business at home and abroad and will be the focus of optical network technology development direction of the future.Guangzhou Tietong local telecommunications network which carries voice and data transmission services work in Guanzhou is developed for voice service. It gradually reveals the limitations in the case of the rapid development of data services.Firstly, this Paper will analyse the status of network and its technical shortcomings. Secondly, the paper estimates the demand for transmission capacity in the future. Then introducing different new technologies such as ASON WDM and PRP, the paper presents different solutions to the existing network. In contrast to different solution, the paper presents a proposal based on ASON to reform the existing network.Finally, the paper establishs a simulated test environment and the proposal passed the test to verify the feasibility.
