It is an effective method to promote the information level of small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through ASP model at present. Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Department in 2008 started the "ASP-based information technology industry in Jiangsu Province public technical service platform" project, and the target of this project is to provide product design, manufacturing, services and corporate management of digital technology services for small and medium manufacturers through the ASP model. As an important component of product digital design technology undertaken by project team of NUAA, the main content of this thesis is the research and development of the parts library based on Web. A high effective parts library has important significance for promoting design level and efficiency of SMEs. According to the current design requirement of SMEs,"web parts library management system for life cycle"is studied and developed with advanced digital idea and technology. The main content of thesis is given as follows:Firstly, according to the function requirement of platform, the contents of Web parts library are analyzed, and the software architecture and overall framework were built.Secondly, the parts modeling are studied deeply, and the ontology model of parts for life cycle is proposed.Thirdly, parts classification and information description specification are defined with ontology model description knowledge, dynamic expansion mechanism, gradual expansion mechanism and retrieval mechanism for life cycle are constructedFinally, according to the situation of SMEs, the parts library software system for life cycle is developed and typical interface and instances are presented.
