People's living standards have been improved unprecedentedly for three decades of reform and opening-up. And intelligent home is springing up gradually. Therefore, the kitchen appliances as daily necessities urgently need to be achieved coordination control in order to meet the requirements of intelligent home. At present, China's overall technological level of kitchen appliances is higher but there is still much room for improvement on intelligent, safe, energy-saving, environmental protection, and so on. In addition, consumers pay more attention to those functions, and this research topic on coordinated controller of gas-oven and range hood is precisely in keeping with the development trend of times.This paper further developed a range hood control circuit and the gas-oven, range hood coordinated control design proposal on the basis of lab team's research productions about gas-oven. The hardware circuit primarily includes: (1) power module with +3.3V, +5V, +15V power supply; (2) fan speed control module, implemented stepless speed regulation which automatically regulates speed according to the kitchen environment in order to save energy; (3) power line communication module, determined that the power line communication is the appropriate mean for kitchen appliances coordination control and actualized a robust communication module; (4) sensor module, which detects smoke in the kitchen environment on the purpose of security. And software components mainly include: (1) introduce the fan speed control algorithm VVVF and SVPWM, then implement them; (2) range hood control procedure, which automatically switchs range hood state according to the data from the power line communication module and the detecting results of the sensor module; (3) power line communication program, developed a communication protocol for this system after analyzing two kinds of related communication protocol, in order to ensure the power line communication reliability at the software level.The system actualized coordination control between gas-oven and range hood by means of hardware in collaboration with software. Range hood automatically starts to function when gas-oven turns on. Also, range hood automatically stops working after 1 minute delay when gas-oven turns off. According to sensor module detecting results, gas-oven cooking mode and firepower, the system automatically adjusts the fan speed for the purpose of the most efficiently energy saving. In the standby state, gas-oven continuously monitors the location of mechanical valves. If gas-oven finds that the mechanical valves were not closed, it would tries to reclose them. And range hood detects gas leakage without stopping. Once gas leaks, range hood turns on to exhaust. Therefore, the system achieves a double security. After a large number of experiments data show that the reliability of the power line communication and fan speed frequency control come up to requirements of the coordination control system and achieves desired objective of this subject.This paper's research establishes solid foundation for the development of mutual coordination among kitchen appliances and can be applied to other household electrical appliances too. It has important practical significance and furthers the development of intelligent home.
