Design And Implement Of Mobile Learning Platform Based On Mobile Phones

Along with the development of technology, the changing life and work, people have become increasely demanding on learning. It's obviousely that the traditional ways of learning can not meet the requirement of learner for ever. M-learning is that students and teachers use mobile terminal device (such as mobile phones, etc.) to finish teaching and learning activities anytime and anywhere, which combines the mobile communication and education based on the existing wireless mobile networks, Internet and multimedia technology. The characteristics of a high degree popularity and the portable nature of mobile phone, make it become a more ideal device for mobile learning. it is a more convenient learning tool than any others and makes the learners learn anytime and anywhere in a real sense.The paper designed a platform of M-learning based on analysis of the real situation of graduates at Xinjiang Normal University and consideration of the high popularity of mobile phone in the campus, which can help to communicate between students and teachers and to have a successful completion of graduation. The thesis first analyzes and summarizes the state of art of mobile learning at home and abroad, and then investigates the theory of mobile learning and the key development technologies. Based on this, we compared the advantages of current popular client-side development technologies J2ME and WAP, and developed client-side program using J2ME technology. Finally, a mobile learning platform was constructed based on 3G. We designed the platform architecture by use of MVC design pattern to achieve a systematic program of multi-layer structure. Finally, the mobile learning platform was presented and implemented based on graduation practice management of college students. The mobile learning system is divided into the administrator module, teacher module and student module to realize user management, resource management, instant communication and information release.The implementation of part function with core techology was presented in detail.
