In natural language understanding of Chinese, it's pretty difficult to deal with the large numbers of ambiguous structures of noun phrase. As there are combinations of Coordinative relationships, Modifier-head relationships and event-nouns in coordinative noun phrase, the ambiguous format n1+n2+and+n3 and n1+n2+and+n3 are two common phenomenons. Aiming at dealing with these two ambiguous formats, firstly this paper studied domestic and foreign methods for dealing with ambiguity in phrase and juxtaposition of phrase. In accordance with some knowledge representation methods, this paper complemented domain ontology knowledge base. Based on two kinds of conceptual dependency trees, this paper established static and dynamic semantic distance calculating models. Then this paper analyzed the ambiguity and non-ambiguity structures of juxtaposition of noun phrases in detail, and proposed methods for dealing with ambiguity from different aspects including semantic information in phrase, simple sentence, sentence group and paragraph, using knowledge of connotative meaning and semantic distance calculating models. At same time, this paper proposed methods for dealing with a special kind of juxtaposition of noun phrases with phenomenon of ellipsis. Finally, this paper intergrated the module for dealing with ambiguity in juxtaposition of noun phrases into expert system of intelligent instrument computer aided design, promoted the validity of demand analysis, provided technical supports to intelligence and standardization of product design. |
