Design And Realization Of Host Computer For Burst Error Tester Based On LabVIEW.

Along with the rapid development of digital communication technology especially the fiber-optic communication technology,nowadays man attaches more and more attention to the error code performance of the communication channel. In the system of high-speed fiber-optic communication the abnormality of channel and noise-interference affects the channel and it let the receiver makes mistakes when it checks the code,then the quality of the information transferred in system descends and the error code occurs. Burst error tester is an essential instrument which evaluates the performance of transfer system. The use of burst mode transmission is increasing in digital-communication systems. In the PON system, for the uploading signals are burst signals, we need high-speed burst error detector to test the performance of the whole system.LabVIEW developed by American NI Company is a program development environment which is based on G language (graphical language). Being different from C and BASIC languages which are based on text, LabVIEW program has the form of block diagram and it makes full use of the concept of terminology and icon which is familiar to technical persons and engineers. So LabVIEW is a subscriber-oriented tool,it can improve the capability of building project system when we use it to work.Aiming at the characterizes of burst error tester and LabVIEW,a design method of host computer for burst error tester based on LabVIEW(2.0 version) is proposed. This article makes a whole and detail description of LabVIEW interface for burst error tester and analyzes the function of each LabVIEW diagram module. The program realizes the communication between the control platform of burst error tester and host computer,and saves the data test results in document. Numerical experimental results show the effectiveness of the resolution.
