The number of GSM mobile phones consumers is increasing in an incredible speed the last years, so many electronic companies transfer to develop mobile phones , striving to be the first. On the other hand, the progress of producing our country's own mobile station test sets just enters primary phrase. The project is to develop the GSM Mobile Station Test Set used for maintenance, mainly developing the hardware and software of the part of Base Band. It's DSPs + FPGA structure makes the system flexible^ universal and suitable for modularization. In addition, the structure makes the period of development more shorter, the system easy to maintain and suitable for real-time signal processing.The task of the thesis is to develop the radio interface signalling > reception and the real-time measure with DSP assembly language.Radio interface signalling of the test set mainly obeys the process of GSM BSS sub-system, and only does some simplification on the base of the test set. omitting some unnecessary functions. The main modules of the test set include location update> MS calK BS calk short message and echo test etc.The main task of the reception is GMSK demodulation and channel decoding (including de-interweaving). We use the 2BIT difference demodulation, but different decoding ways are used in different logic channels, corresponding with the channel coding in the transmission part.The measure module is to compute the parameters which present the performance of mobile phones under the order of X86. these parameters are Power Rampx time erro^ frequency and phase error and BER^ RBER etc. The real time measure includes not only the algorithm of every parameter but also the organization of these TDMA frames or bursts which are used to compute these parameters.
