Multi-channel data acquisition system is indispensable equipment for the data acquisition tasks which require synchronization in vehicle type test. There are no special equipments for vehicle type test, which can completely satisfy the measurement requirements. The lighter data acquisition unit of CRPL2-DIO-UNI8 as control core is an eight-channel equipment and VB20SL, BLR-1, YK-2-500, MSW are integrated into the same system. The purpose of this paper is to design a set of software which can satisfy the measurement requirements. Also, it is possible to measure the speed, traction, current, voltage, steering wheel torque and angle.To analyse the feasibility, it is necessary to take the functions and performance parameters of the data acquisition unit and the sensors into consideration. The paper introduces the scheme based on satisfying measurement requirements and the wiring design between DAU and sensors. Virtual Instrument technology is used to develop a set of measuring software in LabVIEW programming environment. It is possible to set the measuring parameters, control the whole measuring process, analyse and process the signal,etc. The software also can easily be transplanted to another computer platform, avoiding the distortion of interface. In order to improve the level of measurement accuracy, the plugin for correcting calibration is necessary. The setting parameters of sensors are obtained by completing the calibration for five different range of resistance strain and compressive sensors and the contrast experiment for other sensors.
