With the development of electronic technology, the function of electronic equipment is going more and the internal logic structure is getting more complex which makes electronic equipment malfunction probability increases and test difficulty enhanced. Therefore, the electronic equipment testing and fault diagnosis put forward new requirements. The electronic equipment remote automatic testing technology as a new development direction in the electronic test field, which controlled the remote test system with computer. It can complete the send of incentive, data and test vector automatically and analysis the outgoing test results. Boundary scan technology, which is the IEEE standard design-for-testability technique, can be used not only in systems, modules and PCB, but also in electronic equipments which contain large-scale integrated chips. This test method increased the accuracy of fault detection and enhanced the reliability of test system. This paper researched the remote electronic equipment based on the boundary scan testing method. The subject designed a remote automatic test system based on boundary scan technology. Firstly, the design process of boundary scan test controller and boundary scan circuit was introduced. The composition of boundary scan test controller, port design and the boundary scan circuit was particular declared. And then, the remote host and software program of test computer were programmed in the environment of VC++6.0 and all achieved the expected aim. The system is convenient and stable which can realize the data remote transmission, signal synchronization transmission and control, and the storage and analysis of test results. This technology for test of electronic equipment can make sure it free from the interference of weather, distance, time and geography.
