Research On Library Academic Information Service Based On Academic Blog

Academic blog is of great significance to promote academic exchange and knowledge sharing as a very important source of Internet academic resources, which leads to broad attentions from information workers and academic researchers. And there are some disadvantages for traditional library in the provision of academic information services. These deficiencies hindered the further development of academic information services of library to some extent, and obstruct the pertinences and effectiveness of academic information services. The academic blog make it possible to provide academic information services in libraries for its features of great number of users, the free mechanisms of information dissemination and user interaction and information aggregation. Therefore, applying the academic blog to libraries for academic information services will promote the development of information services of libraries to a certain extent.This paper aims to optimize the academic information service in libraries so as to create a good atmosphere of academic exchange and information sharing for users. It firstly described the basic concepts of academic blog and academic information service, indicated the problems and deficiencies that existed in traditional library academic information services. Then it depicts the strengths and advantages of applying academic blog into library academic information service in the third chapter combining with its own characteristics of academic blogs, and analyze its feasibilities and principles of applications. The fourth chapter constructs an internet community for libraries to conduct library academic information services by academic blog from the perspective of specific applications based on in-depth theoretical analysis consisting of communities of library academic blog and library academic information service; and elaborates the specific applications of applying academic blog in academic information services of libraries in detail. Finally, the article analyzes the potential problems and obstacles of applying academic blog into academic information services for libraries and comes up with the corresponding countermeasures in the fifth chapter.The specialty of this paper owes to the topic selection which keeps the leading edges of disciplines and theoretical focus of frontiers and the functions of guiding better and faster development of the current library academic information services. The innovation of this paper lies to expounded the problems and obstacles of traditional library academic information services comprehensively and systematically, and puts forward the strengths and advantages of applying academic blog in library academic information service; makes a fairly detailed and logic theoretical analysis on applying the blog into academic information services for libraries; constructs an academic information service community combining characteristics of the blog itself, build the library, the academic blog by the network for academic information services community, including communities of library academic blog and library academic information service academic, which are complementary; and depicts the specific realization and implementation of applications applying blog for academic information services in libraries.
