With the development of manned spacecraft engineering and satellite technology, research on space networking communication has become a hot spot. All these have brought forward new requirements on satellite communication system. To meet these needs, it requires the following capability, supporting multi-services and data, including packet IP service, voice TDM service, high speed image data service etc; having sophisticated network control and management; ability of QoS and class of service; the network should have high ability of reliability and recovery; having high reliability and speed service adaptive device and switch chip with small volume and power consumption. At the present time, every communication system uses independent point to point communication mode, and this mode can't meet the new need. So it is much desired to establish satellite network which can meet the demand of global communication.This paper firstly introduces research status and development tendency of current satellite communication networking, then analyzes satellite network character and demand and MPLS-TP character, proposes an idear of using MPLS-TP into satellite networking. After that, I propose a satellite networking mode based on MPLS-TP. Research control plane of this mode especially route technology and label swith path and optimize the process of setting up label switch path. At the end of this paper, on the base of MPLS-TP satellite networking mode, implement a high speed image data service adaptive and transmission system based on FPGA, then introduce the total design scheme and every module design, the test environment and result are given in the end.The first chapter of this paper is about satellite research status and development tendency, then propose the idea of applying MPLS-TP into satellite network. The second chapter introduces MPLS-TP relative technology. The third chapter analyzes feasibility of applying MPLS-TP into satellite networking then raises satellite networking mode and protocol stack mode based on MPLS-TP. The fourth chapter discusses MPLS-TP satellite network control plane relative technology especially route technology and label swith path and optimize the process of setting up label switch path. The fifth chapter implements a high speed image data service adaption and transmission system based on FPGA, then test environment and result are given.
