With the development of Internet networks,satellite network seamlessly connects with the cellular networks on the ground.As an important part of modern wireless communication network plays an important role in the backbone and access networks.Satellite communication network is providing different types of services for global users with its advantages,such as wide coverage and long communication distance,it is not limited by geographical conditions.The sharp increase of traffic and the number of users has given a challenge to the on-board processing and switching technology.However,Multiprotocol Label Switching,which supports.quality of service(QoS)and traffic engineering,has become one of the best options to cope with these problems because of its efficiency in forwarding.Therefore,MPLS technology has become a hot spot in the satellite communications network.This paper conducted a deep research on the key technologies of MPLS based on the characteristics of the satellite network.On the basis of the research of basic theories,the paper focused on the architecture of MPLS satellite network,queue scheduling algorithms based on QoS and routing algorithms based on MPLS Traffic Engineering.Main works of the paper are as follows:(1)Analyzed functions of MPLS networks,divided the whole network into four modules,including status module,routing calculation module,signaling module and LSP maintenance module.Aiming at the phenomenon that there may be errors in the label during the process of data transmission,the paper designed a label error control scheme,which increased the average throughput.(2)Based on the research of QoS mechanism in satellite MPLS network,the paper proposed a Dynamic Weight-weighted Round Robin(DW-WRR)algorithm,which is improved on weighted round robin algorithm.The weight of each queue can be adjusted in DW-WRR by comparing the length of the queue with the threshold.The result of study showed that the queuing delay of DW-WRR is smaller than PQ algorithm,RR algorithm and WRR algorithm.(3)On the basis of MPLS Traffic Engineering in satellite networks,the paper proposed an Improved Least Interference Path(ILIP)algorithm.It defines link weight on the basis of the initial link weight,which combines current residual bandwidth,delay and bit error rate of the link.Furthermore,link utilization and conflict degree,which indicates the interference between the current request and future requests,are taken into account in the link weight computation when establishing a path.The results of the study demonstrated that ILIP performs better than existing routing algorithms in terms of request bandwidth reject rate and network throughput.It can better achieve load balancing in MPLS traffic engineering.
