In recent years, due to the emergence of a variety of new IP services, such as triple play, wired or wireless IP video and Ethernet data services, network traffic has been in the business change from a TDM-based to packet-based data services. The traditional transmission network and IP network has shown flawed in various ways in dealing with the new IP packet bandwidth business. In order to satisfy the efficient, multi-service, high-performance requirements of the next-generation transport network, an MPLS-based connection-oriented packet-switched transmission technology - T-MPLS technology, has attracted much more attention. This paper discusses the design of the TDM module and the packet-switched module of the hardware simulation platform, as well as applied research.The first chapter of this paper analyzed and discussed T-MPLS technology background and basic technical characteristics, as well as the current development situation;the second chapter introduces the development platform and development tools briefly;the third chapter introduces the T-MPLS hardware emulation platform architecture and platform as a whole and the function of each module, while making the platform needs analysis and the expected target;the fourth chapter focuses on describing T-MPLS hardware emulation platform TDMoT-MPLS part of the PCB design, FPGA part of the design and coding; the fifth chapter describes in details of packet forwarding module composition and the realization of each module of the Simulation Platform.This paper will highlight the following aspects of work:1. Completed T-MPLS background and key technology research, compared and analyzed several major technologies are of the transmission network; 2. Participated in and completed the application projects T-MPLS switching equipment as a whole program design, independently completed TDM services part of the program design, while selected experimental platform on demand.3. Completed T-MPLS packet switching functions and tested each module, completed TDMoM functional module and tested, as well as the TDM service interface board schematic design, PCB drawing, hardware debugging; 4. Participate in the hardware experimental platform T-MPLS functional testing, successfully completed the "T-MPLS-based carrier-class packet transport network" project.
