Design And Implementation Of The Assistant Teaching System For The Elementary And Secondary Schools

The assistant teaching system constructed by using the internet function has become an important teaching method in information age. Through the system which integrates "Lesson Preparation", "Teaching" and "Learning" environments, teachers will be able to create, view, exchange hypertext courseware, mark student assignments, teach online, track learning of the students etc.. In addition, students can also learn, submit work, view grades and take test and other activities on line with the help of this system. Network-assisted Instruction System is an important method to reform the traditional teaching mode, achieve integration of disciplines and information technology and cultivate the students'information literacy.Up to now, universities, primary and secondary schools in city have their own campus network system. But most of these systems are used for propaganda, administration, asset management, mail delivery and other functions. The cost of construction, operation and maintenance are very high, and it requires high technical level to maintain the system running. In smaller, less funding, rural schools, the computer application skills of teachers and students are relatively weak. They are eager to be provided with low-cost, feature simple, easy maintenance and learning assisted instruction systems.This paper starts from the demand of assisted instruction system, and then introduces system-related Smarty template technology, Ajax technology, and database selection technology, based on which, the assisted instruction system suitable for primary and secondary schools is designed and implemented. The assistant teaching system was realized on this basis, integrating Registration, browsing, preparing lessons, release, circulating materials, management etc.The system is mainly developed by using PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) language which is open-source, free, fast, strong cross-platform, high-efficiency, image-processing, and professional-focus. PHP is a Scripting language embedded in HTML and executed on the server. Use Wampserver quickly build an integrated environment with simple graphic, installation and configuration menu (integrating Apache, PHP, and Mysql). Wampserver supports 22 languages including simplified and traditional Chinese, phpmyadmin and SQLiteManager.The basic functions of the system have been tested, information content and function extensions are to be further enriched and improved after exchanging views with users.
