The needs of network are becoming more and more. Comunication between people has been unable to meet the daily needs of people. People start considering the communication between people and objects. So wireless sensor network appears. However, there are many pratical problems during research and application process, and a major problem of wireless sensor network is energy. Because its nodes are powered by battery, its resources are limited. Meanwhile, the primary energy consumption of its nodes are sending signals and receiving signals. Therefore, if we can reduce this energy consumption, the development of wireless sensosr has a certain breakthrough.TS-NMT (Time-shift Non-orthogonal Multi-Carries Modulation Technology) is invented by Professor Liang Dequn which is a new digital modulation technology. It not only improves the information transmission rate, but also breaks through orthogonal constraint of the traditional carrier modulation. Compared with the mainstream technology of 4G-OFDM; it has higher bandwidth efficiency. The thesis compares TS-NMT and traditional modulation methods of wireless sensor network-BPSK. The results of simulation show the energy consumption of the two aspects, and the data prove the advantages of the low energy consumption, thus the practical application lays a good foundation in the future. This thesis introduces the TS-NMT wireless sensor network and its protocol, and builts framework of wireless sensor network by IEEE 802.15.4, uses the indoor wireless network channel and selects the channel model of Rayleigh channel. In simulation project, channel model inserts impulse signals for the channel estimation and the guard internal in order to prevent inter-symbol interence. Finally, on the same condition, TS-NMT compares with BPSK on modulation of the energy consumption. The results of simulation show the superiority of TS-NMT.
