Compared with products produced by other molding technics, the glass-fiber composites products produced by filament-winding have features of high strength, good quality, corrosion resistance, light weight etc., so are widely used in aerospace, building, automobile and military industrial fields. Continuous fiber attached with glue, or prepreg directly, after tension control, is clung to mandrel according to certain rules, then through curing and demoulding, finally products are obtained, above is the whole process of filament-winding technology. During this process, the glue ratio of the products has a great impact on the properties, but due to the particularity of winding process, it is difficult to measure the glue ratio online. Therefore, it is with practical significance to develop a non-contact, on-line detect instrument with fairly high precision.Laser sensor, as a non-contact measurement instrument, is currently used widely. It has high speed, high precision and strong anti-jamming capability, etc. Measuring technique based on laser sensor has very important applications in industrial automation and control. This paper analyzes the current domestic and international situation about glue ratio measuring, compares the various glue ratio measurement methods, and at last determines that the basis of this design is traditional non-contact laser triangulation measuring principle. By using laser sensor to gain image of filament attached with glue, then being processed, converted to area values according to the programming process, we get glue ratio, thus realize on-line measurement of glue ratio in filament-winding.The main content of this paper included:Firstly, laser sensor was introduced in this paper. As a new type of measurement instruments, it has high speed, high resolution, simple signal processing, and is used very extensively. This program selects one kind of laser displacement sensor as the area detector, introduces the measurement principle and puts forward the overall solution of the measurement system.Secondly, the hardware design and software programming of the measurement system are done, the placement and fixation problem of laser sensor are solved, and the communication between each part of the system are solved, too. Use Visual Basic language writing the measurement procedures. Thirdly, aim to the system, several influence factors on the measurement results and measuring precision are analyzed, the measuring formula is fixed. Realize the measurement error compensation, then use the experiment demonstrating the feasibility of the measurement system in this subject.Fourthly, on the basis of the measurement, control scheme is proposed. Use the virtual instrument software LabVIEW doing simulation analysis of the system.
