Filament winding is an important process of composite material molding, the tension on the filament is an important technological parameter in the filament winding,and it affects the products'quality. So to biuld a real-time tension control system is very important. Currently, magnetic powder brake and torque motor are used mostly as actuators in the filament winding tension control system, and their shortcomings are a little slow in the tention control system. This paper presents a system base on ac servo motor which is the actuator in the tension control system, through set-up and test and compare with the other two actuators shows that ac servo motors are suit for tension control system, and it can obtain good control effect.The work of this paper mainly includes the followings:(1) The system's set-up.Based on the principle's understanding and the characteristics'analysis of the filament tension control system, this paper established a system with tension sensor as the test section, computer as control section, AC servo motor as a control device, through the real-time tension feedback reached closed-loop control effect.(2)The design of tension's testing part.This paper choosed a parallel beam weighing transducer as the tension's testing part,and realized the conversion from the tension signals to the voltage signals by the sensor. And selected the PCI-7422 boards based on PCI BUS in the signal acquisition.Through the programming and debugging by Labview,and realized the real-time tension detection in the computer.(3) The design of the control signal's output part.In order to realize the output signal control the AC servo motor running,this paper choosed MP431 based on USB BUS for data output,through the D/A conversion realized the control signal's output in the computer.(4)The choice of the tension control strategy. According to the characteristics of the tension control system,this paper used the Integral separation PID control strategy in choosing control strategy,it means when real-time tension over the scope of deviation set will use the PD control; ajust the PID parameters for the three system, obtained the suitable PID control parameters for each system.(5)The debugging and test of the tension control system.First,debugged the tension control system based on the AC servo motor,realized good control situation.Otherwise,introduced some comparisons by magnetic powder brake and torque motor,and analyzing the test data of records and got three control effect contrast, confirm the AC servo motor is better.
